LANDSCAPE GENETICS AND MORPHOLOGY OF DARTERS
I am interested in studying the population genetics, genetic structure, and morphology of darters found throughout the Midwest. Specifically, I'm looking at two groups of darters and their landscape genetics and resulting morphology in areas where they are found in allopatry and sympatry with each other.

WEATHERFISH OCCURRENCES
For my master's research at Loyola University I was interesting in the expanding range of the invasive Oriental Weatherfish (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus). My aim was to determine the current range of the weatherfish in Chicagoarea waterways and determine if the population was the result of one or more introductions. I did this by actively sampling for these fish throughout the waterways and by using genetic markers to determine if multiple populations were present.
